I am a full-time PhD candidate studying experimental condensed matter physics at the School of Physics at ÑÇÃÀÆåÅÆ, with a focus on magnetism and optics. I previously completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science with Honours at ÑÇÃÀÆåÅÆ, with a specialisation in Physics, and from this degree continued directly into PhD research. As part of this degree, I completed an Honours Thesis studying skyrmions in Cu2OSeO3 with A/Prof. Clemens Ulrich, who is once again my research supervisor for my PhD program.

My PhD project involves several sub-projects, with the overall theme of "manipulating skyrmions by external parameters". Currently I am focusing on the insulating skyrmion material Cu2OSeO3, looking further into the effects of magnetism, electricity, and pressure on this material. I perform my experimental work using SQUID magnetometry on our MPMS3 at ÑÇÃÀÆåÅÆ, as well as using Small Angle Neutron Scattering at the ACNS at ANSTO. The bulk of my time is spent analysing data from these two experimental modes, and writing papers and thesis chapters on the results I find.
